Head-2-Head mud racing rules and classes
Class 1) 4cyl, no nitrous, no super chargers, no blowers. any tire size must be (dot) no cuts, aggies, scoops or paddles. 300' course Class 2) 6cyl, no nitrous, no super chargers, no blowers. any tire size must be (dot) no cuts, aggies, scoops or paddles. 300' course Class 3) 8cyl, no nitrous, no super chargers, no blowers. 35"or smaller tire size must be (dot) no cuts, aggies, scoops or paddles.(tires will be measured by the manufactures printed size. 300' course Class 4) 8cyl, no nitrous, no super chargers, no blowers. 36" or bigger tire size must be (dot) no cuts, aggies, scoops, or paddles. tire will be measured by the manufactures printed size. 300' course Class 5) open, no blowers .tires are "run what you brung" 300' course Class 6) open modified. blowers allowed "dragster class" this class may be split if nessesary. 200' course DOT approved helmets must be worn at all times while on track. Seat belts must be worn when truck is in gear. One driver per vehicle.(no multiple entries for the truck) Driver must be at least 18 years of age. One passenger per vehicle. Passenger must be at least 14 years of age.Signed consent. hand flag start, photo finish. We do our best to run a fair and safe race, in the event of a jumped start, a too close to call finish, track crew error or any other circumstance, including but not limited to allowing participants repair or cooling time. | The 2009 Trench competition will be an extreme challenge for any vehicle. This is not just A deep mud competition.This is THE deep mud competion. The Trench will be designed in similar fashion to prior years, taking in to consideration what we have learned through the years.We would like to see a few more of you make it out this year. Expect to have to go 280 feet, encounter uneven terrain, moguls and voids of varying depths in the finest Vermont mud. The classes will be as follows. 2009 CHANGES Class 1) Vehicles with upto a 35" tire. NO blower motors allowed in this class.dot style tires, No cuts . No aggies Class 2) Vehicles with tire sizes 36" to 44" . NO blower motors allowed in this class. dot style tire, No cuts . No aggies Class 3) Vehicles with tires 44'' and bigger, aggies/ tractor tires allowed all sizes. NO blower motors in this class. N.O.S. permitted Class 4) Rails, skimmers, tube buggies, 2 wheel drive, blowers are allowed. Tires : run what you brung! NEW CLASS Class 5) Reverse Attempt class. Open to participants in class 1,2 or 3. This is a single attempt only. Vehicle must have at least one mirror. Rules for all vehicles: 1) All vehicles must have at least one solid attachment point front and rear. Multiple points preferred. 2) One passenger per vehicle. Must be at least 18 years of age to drive 14 years of age to ride as a passenger. 3) Seat belts must be worn by all parties in the vehicle inside the track area. (driver and Passenger)Vermonster4x4 Tech will be checking. 4) Unless it's on fire, stay in your vehicle. 5) NO construction equipment, tractors, agricultural equipment, tracked vehicles, or paid performers are eligible for the prizes. (this doesn't mean you won't see these things in the trench it just means they can't win.) 6) Fastest through or furthest distance wins per class 7) Only one class per vehicle.(class5 exception) 8.) Vermonster staff can "doctor" the trench at any time! 9) All vehicles must have a roof or roll cage over participants. 10) HELMETS WILL BE WORN BY ALL PARTIES WHILE IN THE TRACK AREA.(driver and passenger) 11) Vermonster4x4 track crew reserves the right to NOT let your vehicle in the trench for any reason.Including but not limited to violation of any 2009 rule, equipment deemed unsafe, driving style deemed unsafe,etc.. 12) Broken vehicles will be removed by Vermonster4x4. We will make every effort to put you back to your spot in the pits. Time does not always permit this to happen immediately. We will move you out of the spectators view. The 2009 Rock krawl will be all new! Added features such as log sections, and "the Ramp" will be sure to challenge a drivers line choice and the build of the rig. All participants will wear a helmet. Drivers will be at least 18 years of age. Spotters will be at least 14 years of age. Occupants must be belted while in gear. Rock stacking is okay. 10 minute time limit. Don't hit the cones, other than that 1st across the line or furthest point on the course wins. Classes. Class 1.) Mini's. Any vehicle with a stock frame and tires no more than 33" tall. Stock looking. Class 2.) Modified. Any vehicle with a stock frame and tires between 34" and 40" tall. Modified/Stock looking. Class 3.) Buggies. You know who you are. Any size tire is fine. If we get enough of you to break the class into 35" and down and 36" and up we will. |

Rules for all classes; 1) Seat restaints are a must! 2) Dot helmets must be worn. 3) NO passengers 4) Drive shafts must have restaint loops 5) Battery must have terminal arc protection 6) Roof or roll cage required the turn out will determine classes, figure on a stock and modified group tenitively we also recommend Fire suits, neck braces, gloves, and the display of common sense. |
